Serious traffic accidents in the Netherlands injure drivers in Moordrecht and Nijmegen

In Moordrecht, a car left the road on the Middelweg and overturned into a ditch on 29 June. Emergency services rescued the driver, who was treated on site and then rushed to hospital. Police said the driver had been drinking and are investigating the cause.

In Nijmegen, a motorcyclist performing a burnout at a gathering of about three‑hundred bikes lost control on the Nijverheidsweg. The rider hit a barrier, the motorcycle landed on him and he was resuscitated by responders before being taken by ambulance under police escort to a hospital. The road was closed for investigation by traffic accident analysts.
