Sernac launches inspections of aesthetic centers across Chile
Chile's National Consumer Service (Sernac) has launched a nationwide inspection plan targeting aesthetic centers across 14 regions, including Magallanes. The initiative aims to protect consumer health and safety amid rising demand for facial and body procedures.
Inspectors are focusing on ensuring that establishments provide clear information regarding the risks and characteristics of treatments. For invasive procedures, such as botulinum toxin or hyaluronic acid applications, written informed consent is mandatory.
Additionally, authorities are verifying sanitary authorizations, the visibility of technical directors, and the use of products with valid sanitary registrations. Commercial compliance is also being monitored, specifically requiring that prices be displayed in Chilean pesos including taxes, and prohibiting misleading advertising that guarantees absolute results.
