SernamEG expands childcare and entrepreneurship support in Arica
The National Service for Women and Gender Equality (SernamEG) has expanded its 'Programa 4 a 7' in Arica by adding Colegio Eduardo Frei Montalva to its network of after-school care facilities. This expansion, part of the 'Modo Empleo' campaign, provides integral care for children and adolescents aged 6 to 13, allowing women to participate more effectively in the labor market, training, or studies.
In a separate initiative aimed at economic autonomy, 58 women in the Arica and Parinacota region have completed the 'Academia Mujer Emprende 2026'. Executed by the María Olga Ester NGO, the program provided training in 14 modules, covering topics such as networking, gender-perspective financing, tax obligations, and project formulation to strengthen local entrepreneurship.
