Sernapesca officials, in coordination with Carabineros de Chile, conducted roadside inspections across the Maule Region to combat illegal fishing. The operations took place in sectors including Chanco, Cauquenes, and Lomas Las Tortillas.

Authorities seized 245 kg of various hydrobiological resources lacking legal origin accreditation (AOL). Specific findings included red and black conger eel in Chanco, as well as jack mackerel, hake, canque, sierra, crab claws, and bonito in Cauquenes. In Lomas Las Tortillas, officials intercepted a vehicle carrying 50.1 kg of common hake and 3 kg of tuna fillet.
