Sernatur expands Chile’s ‘Turismo Mujer’ program with 5,000 new slots

Sernatur has launched a new season of its ‘Turismo Mujer’ program, offering approximately 5,000 travel slots between the remainder of 2026 and mid-2027. Under the slogan ‘Chile, arte que se recorre’, the initiative expands its reach from five to nine tourist destinations across air, sea, and land routes.

The program focuses on the well-being and reconnection of women while aiming to stimulate the national economy during mid and low tourism seasons. It also expands the age range of eligible beneficiaries.

Tourism Undersecretary María Paz Lagos noted that women represent approximately 64 percent of global travelers and influence up to 82 percent of travel decisions. In Chile, women account for nearly 49 percent of tourism sector employment, highlighting their strategic role in both demand and supply.
