Serra Gelada Natural Park celebrates Geodiversity Day

The Serra Gelada Natural Park is hosting two educational activities in October to celebrate International Geodiversity Day. These events aim to highlight the geological and geomorphological heritage of the protected area.

The first activity, scheduled for October 8, involves a catamaran tour departing from the Port of Altea to view the park's marine geological and landscape values. This initiative is supported by the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Alicante.

The second event will take place on October 31 in l’Alfàs del Pi. It features a guided walk along the Faro de l’Albir route, allowing participants to observe coastal cliffs, fossil dunes, and unique geological formations. This guided tour is free of charge, though prior registration is required due to limited capacity.
