Serra Negra emerges as a key Brazilian gastronomic destination
Serra Negra, located in the Circuito das Águas Paulista, has emerged as a prominent gastronomic destination in Brazil, driven by the expansion of the Grupo Café Boteco. Founded by Rafael Accorsi, the group has developed a culinary boulevard featuring eight distinct establishments, including Café Boteco, La Terrazza, and Americana.
La Terrazza, led by chef Allan Trigo, has received international recognition for sustainability from the Fundación Restaurantes Sostenibles. The city's appeal aligns with trends in short-duration travel, as research indicates a growing interest among Brazilians in weekend trips.
In addition to regional dining, traditional Brazilian flavors continue to be highlighted through artisanal recipes. The Água Doce Sabores do Brasil network has shared a rustic version of the Caipirinha, known as 'Caipirinha da Roça,' which utilizes artisanal cachaça and grated rapadura instead of refined sugar to emphasize countryside flavors.
