Serralunga Day celebrates Barolo 2023 preview at Fontanafredda

The fifth edition of Serralunga Day concluded at Fontanafredda, centered on the preview of the 2023 Barolo from the municipality of Serralunga d’Alba. The event featured blind tastings, masterclasses, and a charity dinner.

Experts, including Master of Wine Gabriele Gorelli, described the 2023 vintage as dynamic, characterized by freshness, balance, acidity, and crunchy tannins, offering both drinkability and potential for longevity. A notable masterclass titled “Il potenziale del tempo” compared 14 Barolo cru wines from Serralunga with 14 Brunello di Montalcino wines, dating back to the 1990s, to highlight the shared identity and aging capabilities of the two regions.
