Serralves hosts art exhibition in Leiria

The Villa Portela Arts Center in Leiria will host the exhibition ‘Contadores de histórias’ (Storytellers), featuring works from the Serralves Collection. The exhibition showcases pieces by artists Paula Rego, Jorge Queiroz, and Sue Williams.

The collection is noted for its imaginative narrative universes and surrealist visual constructions that explore the human experience through drawing, painting, and the subconscious. The exhibition is a collaborative effort between the Municipality of Leiria and the Serralves Foundation. It is scheduled to run until January 31, 2027, with an associated concert by the Ensemble de Metais de Leiria taking place on September 26.
