Serres Military Union disputes Sintiki Mayor over border allowances

The Union of Military Personnel of the Serres Regional Unit has issued a response to the Mayor of Sintiki, Giorgos Tatsios, regarding the distribution of border zone allowances to active-duty military personnel.

The Union criticized the Mayor's response time, noting that while they waited 134 days for an opinion on the allowance, the Mayor responded within one day only after the matter was made public through a formal complaint. The Union expressed concern over how active-duty military workers were portrayed in the Mayor's correspondence and requested a clear stance on whether the Municipality supports granting the border allowance to all military personnel, many of whom are residents of the area.
