Seròs shelter records 1,926 overnight stays during agricultural campaign
The Seròs shelter in the Segrià region recorded 1,926 overnight stays during the current agricultural campaign. These stays, involving 77 individuals, took place between May 1 and September 30.
The facility, which has a capacity of 40 places, operated continuously for five months this year. This represents an expansion from the previous campaign, when the shelter only opened during May and September.
The accommodation service is coordinated by the Generalitat, the Segrià Comarcal Council, the Lleida City Council, and the Lleida Provincial Council. It includes advisory services, referrals through the Paeria single office, and transport services to the facility.
In the broader Ponent region, the accommodation network provides a total of 712 places distributed across eleven different facilities. This includes the new Caparrella Seasonal Worker Care Center, which has a capacity for 32 people, and 100 places at the Fira de Lleida Pavilion 3.
