Sertã Municipality updates higher education scholarship regulations

The Municipality of Sertã has announced new regulations for its higher education scholarship program. The municipality will award a total of 15 scholarships, an increase of five compared to previous years. Of these, 11 are designated for students completing regular education and 4 for those from professional education tracks.

To qualify, students must have resided in the municipality for at least three years and be enrolled in a bachelor's or integrated master's degree at a public higher education institution. The maximum value of the scholarship is 1,000€ per academic year. Eligibility remains contingent on academic merit, requiring a minimum grade average of 15, and being a beneficiary of one of the first three family allowance tiers.

Key changes to the program include updated academic requirements; students are no longer required to successfully complete all subjects in the curriculum, but must instead complete at least 70% of the ECTS credits from the previous academic year. Additionally, the application process has been simplified and digitized, reducing the number of required physical documents.
