Serv Medical AI could save $65 million in Singapore and Thailand

A budget impact study presented at the ISPOR Asia Pacific Summit 2026 in Bangkok indicates that Serv Medical’s AI-driven clinical decision support system (CDSS) could save approximately $65 million annually in the public health systems of Singapore and Thailand.

The platform is designed to assist with elective percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) by evaluating patient readiness for discharge. By using data to support clinical decisions, the system aims to reduce unnecessary post-procedure hospital stays. In modeled scenarios, the time spent in the hospital following angioplasty was reduced from four days to two in Singapore, and from two days to one in Thailand.

This optimization is estimated to free up more than 72,000 bed-days across both nations, potentially allowing hospitals to perform an additional 5,100 elective angioplasties per year without requiring new infrastructure. The study emphasizes that while the modeling uses AI tools, medical decisions remain central to the process, and the results should be validated through hospital pilot programs.
