Servette FC defeats FC Sion 3-0 in Rhône derby

Servette FC secured a dominant 3-0 victory over FC Sion in the Rhône derby at Stade de Genève. The win extends Servette’s unbeaten streak in this derby to thirteen matches, with their last loss against Sion occurring in October 2021.

Despite entering the match in third place and having scored in 20 consecutive Super League matches, FC Sion struggled significantly following the international break. Coach Didier Tholot described the performance as a “bonne claque” (a good slap), noting that his team failed to win physical duels and appeared disoriented during the first 30 minutes of play.

Sion’s recent form had been bolstered by Winsley Boteli, who recorded 13 goals and 5 assists in 15 matches, but the team's defensive solidity and counter-attacking efficiency were absent during this encounter.
