Servia Municipality: Two simultaneous fires extinguished in Kozani

Two simultaneous fires broke out in the Metaxa and Livadero areas of the Servia Municipality in Kozani on Saturday morning. The Greek Fire Service and local municipal fire vehicles responded immediately, successfully extinguishing the blazes before they could spread significantly.

Due to high temperatures and elevated fire risk, the Western Macedonia Region has placed the Kozani area under Category 3 (high) risk. Authorities have implemented a ban on movement, staying, and vehicle traffic in several forested areas from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM to prevent further incidents. Citizens are urged to avoid any activities that could cause sparks and to report smoke immediately to the authorities.
