ServiceValue study ranks Germany's top insurance providers

ServiceValue GmbH and the newspaper Handelsblatt released the "Deutschlands beste Dienstleister 2026" study, evaluating customer service quality across German insurers. The research, based on an online panel of over 100,000 respondents who had used the insurers within the past two years, covered 21 insurance categories, including legal protection and health‑care coverage.

In the legal‑protection segment, the study highlighted insurers that excel in fast decisions, clear communication and reliable support during disputes. In the health‑and‑care segment, Debeka Krankenversicherungsverein a.G. retained the top spot for customer advice with a rating of 2.09, followed closely by Allianz Private Krankenversicherungs‑AG (2.11) and Süddeutsche Krankenversicherung a.G. (2.13). Several other insurers received "excellent" ratings, indicating performance above the industry average.
