SERVIU Los Lagos begins expropriations for Puerto Montt street project

SERVIU Los Lagos has begun the expropriation process for the Padre Harter street improvement project in Puerto Montt, Chile. Following a decree signed by the Ministry of Housing and Urbanism, the project aims to improve the quality of life for residents of the Población Modelo sector, particularly those near the Catholic Cemetery.

The initiative involves the expropriation of 14 lots in the stretch between Doctor Martin and Balmaceda streets. Funded by the Regional Government with a contribution of 2.7 billion pesos, the project will pave approximately 600 meters of road to resolve long-standing issues with mud, dust, and water runoff. Construction is expected to be tendered in the first half of 2027.
