SES has entered into an agreement with the Peruvian Navy to provide sovereign, multi-orbit satellite connectivity. The solution combines geostationary (GEO) and low earth orbit (LEO) services to support the Navy’s coastal bases, aircraft, and vessels.

The connectivity will be deployed onboard the B. A. P. UNIÓN, Peru’s Sailing Training Ship, to support its international deployments and circumnavigations. This collaboration aims to enhance the Navy’s technological sovereignty and operational control through secure encryption and managed communications infrastructure, specifically to aid in maritime security and domain safeguarding.
