Sesc Cariri Festival Highlights Children’s Arts Program in Ceará
The 2026 edition of the Mostra Sesc Cariri de Culturas runs from 17 to 23 August, offering a free, child‑focused programme called “Mostrinha” across the Cariri region of Ceará, Brazil. Activities include theatrical, musical and literary performances designed to stimulate imagination and creativity. Highlights feature the Grupo Cartasis show “TutuPraco Paco” presented in Nova Olinda, Juazeiro do Norte and the Crato, an exhibition of handcrafted toys by Dim Brinquedim, and a concert by singer‑composer Rubinho do Vale, who performs songs and stories drawn from Brazil’s popular oral tradition.
The event aims to promote cultural participation from early ages, encouraging inter‑generational dialogue and reinforcing the role of play in human development. All activities are open to the public at no cost, taking place in venues such as the Teatro Sesc Patativa do Assaré and Praça Alexandre Arraes in the city of Crato.
