Sesc Mesa Brasil expands food logistics in Maranhão

The Sesc Mesa Brasil program has inaugurated a new operational space in Calhau, Maranhão, to enhance food storage and logistics. The facility serves as a strategic hub to connect corporate donors with vulnerable communities, evolving from a traditional urban harvesting model to a physical structure capable of managing dry food donations more efficiently.

With the opening of this new unit, the program has officially signed social cooperation pacts with five new institutions. This expansion brings the total number of social institutions assisted by Sesc Mesa Brasil in Maranhão to 123, with 100 of these located on the Island of São Luís.
