SESCAM to transition ambulance services in Cuenca and Guadalajara

The Castilla-La Mancha Health Service (SESCAM) is set to transition to a new land sanitary transport service contract in the provinces of Cuenca and Guadalajara. The handover is scheduled to begin in the early hours of Saturday, October 17.

To ensure continuity of care for both urgent and scheduled medical transport, the Management of Urgencies, Emergencies, and Sanitary Transport (GUETS) has implemented a special coordination and monitoring device. This oversight will remain active throughout the weekend and the initial days of the new service operation.

Scheduled transport services, used by patients for treatments, tests, and consultations, are expected to resume ordinary activity on Monday, October 19. Prior to the transition, SESCAM professionals inspected all vehicles intended for both urgent and scheduled transport on October 13 and 14, reporting satisfactory results.
