Sesi Franca players called up to Brazilian National Basketball Team

Two members of Sesi Franca, player Reynan and coach Helinho Garcia, have been called up to the Brazilian National Basketball Team for the 2027 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers. Reynan will join the squad as a wing/guard, while Helinho Garcia will serve as an assistant coach under Aleksandar Petrovic. The team is scheduled to face the Dominican Republic on August 27 in Brasília, followed by a match against Mexico on August 31 in Zacatecas.

Due to these national team commitments, Sesi Franca will compete in the upcoming Campeonato Paulista matches without Reynan and Garcia, with assistant coach Zezinho Limonta stepping in to lead the team. Despite these absences, Sesi Franca secured a 79-61 victory over Pinheiros, maintaining a 100% win rate in the tournament. Mogi Basquete also won their match, resulting in both teams sharing the lead in the Paulista championship standings.
