Sesimbra lifeguards rescue two women caught by strong winds
Two British women, aged 26 and 27, were rescued from the sea at Ribeira do Cavalo beach in Sesimbra after being caught by strong winds while practicing stand up paddle.
The incident occurred late Saturday afternoon around 7:35 p.m. following an alert from a maritime tourism company regarding the women's difficulties in the water. Rescuers from the Sesimbra Lifeguard Station responded quickly to the scene.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel confirmed that both women were physically well and did not require medical assistance. They were safely transported to the port of Sesimbra without further complications.
