Sessie X celebrates 50th edition and 500th artist in Deurne

The music initiative Sessie X is celebrating its 50th edition in Deurne. Since its inception, the event has hosted 500 different artists, ranging from beginners to experienced performers, including singers, bands, dancers, and poets.

Founder Piet Smulders established the project as a way to provide a platform for musicians who may be hesitant to perform in traditional settings. The initiative focuses on the enjoyment and experience of the musician rather than technical perfection, aiming to foster emotional connection and musical growth.
