Sestao to host recycling information point at San Pedro Plaza

Sestao will host a recycling information point at San Pedro Plaza on Wednesday, September 16, from 15:30 to 19:30. Organized by Ecoembes, the event aims to educate citizens on the importance of proper waste separation.

Participants will receive guidance on correctly sorting various waste fractions, including paper and light packaging, glass, organic matter, oil, and bulky items. The initiative is part of the Sestao City Council's commitment to improving waste collection efficiency and meeting European Union directives. These regulations set increasing recycling targets of 55% by 2025, 60% by 2030, and 65% by 2035.

The event is inspired by Ecoembes's 'Recycle!' campaign, which promotes recycling as a continuous, positive daily action. In addition to information sharing, the program includes activities such as children's games and yoga for adults.
