Sester Corpus Christi marks 15‑year anniversary and archpriest’s jubilee in Čatež, Slovenia

On 4 August 2026 the religious community Sester Corpus Christi celebrated its 15‑year anniversary and the jubilee of archpriest Andrej Glavan in Čatež ob Savi, Slovenia. The community, founded in 2011 by Bishop Andrej Glavan, hosts five sisters (including two recent novices) who provide hospitality for clergy seeking rest, spiritual retreat, and assistance with parish duties.

The day‑long celebration featured a solemn Mass led by parish priest Janez Žakelj, prayers before the altar and relics of Saint Janez Vianej, and choral singing by the sisters. The archpriest’s address highlighted the values of hospitality, prayer and service, while Pope Leon XIV’s message to new priests urged openness and compassion. The event drew local faithful and clergy, underscoring the community’s role in supporting priests and fostering spiritual life in the region.
