Sestri Levante prepares for Andersen Run sporting event

The Andersen Run, organized by the Atletica Levante society, is scheduled to take place in Sestri Levante on Sunday, October 4, 2026. The sporting event features three different races starting and ending at Parco Mandela: the 21 km ‘Mezza tra le Baie’, the 11 km ‘7 Miglia da Favola’, and the 5.5 km ‘Family Run’.

Due to the races, temporary traffic modifications will be implemented. For approximately 45 minutes following the start, traffic will be interrupted on several streets including via Fascie, via della Pace nel Mondo, via della Pergola, via Mons. Vattuone, via Balbi, and via del Petronio.

Once the initial closures end, one-way traffic will be established in the San Bartolomeo and Riva Ponente areas to accommodate the race routes. Residents and commuters are advised to follow specific detours to reach the city center, while Riva Levante will remain unaffected by the changes.
