Sestri Levante social service center assists 58 people in first three months
The social service center known as the ‘stazione di posta’ in Sestri Levante has reported its first results three months after opening in the former slaughterhouse. The facility has welcomed 58 vulnerable individuals, providing essential services such as administrative support, orientation, showers, and laundry. Three individuals have also utilized emergency accommodation on the first floor.
Mayor Francesco Solinas stated that the project is part of a broader urban regeneration strategy aimed at combining heritage recovery with social services and neighborhood security. The facility is managed by a temporary association including Il Villaggio del Ragazzo, Sentiero di Arianna, and Agorà.
