Sestu approves new permanent headquarters for child neuropsychiatry

The municipality of Sestu has approved the free allocation of premises on via Di Vittorio to Asl 8 di Cagliari for a new permanent headquarters for child neuropsychiatry services. The agreement, spanning five years, follows discussions between Mayor Michele Cossa and Asl Director General Aldo Atzori to secure a stable location for the service.

For approximately two years, the service has operated out of an RSA facility on via Andrea Costa, a temporary measure that lacked adequate space. The new location in via Di Vittorio has undergone compliance works to meet outpatient clinic standards. The move is expected to support over 200 local youths and allow the facility to accommodate patients from neighboring areas while facilitating collaboration with municipal social services.
