Sestu mayor launches public consultation to boost bus service and integrate tickets

Mayor Michele Cossa of Sestu announced on 29 July 2026 the start of a public consultation aimed at improving the town’s public‑transport system. The initiative will collect input through an online questionnaire on the municipality’s social‑media channels and a citizen assembly scheduled for September.

The consultation seeks proposals for increasing bus frequency, enhancing stop quality and information, and introducing a single integrated ticket that would be valid on both ARST and CTM services. While current service contracts are to be extended and a change of operator is not expected in the short term, the administration plans to install new shelters and improve overall service based on the gathered feedback.
