Set Designer Mary Kate Golding Stabbed in Queens; Husband Found Dead
On July 21 2026, 34‑year‑old Mary Kate Golding, a set designer credited on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and other series, was discovered with a fatal stab wound to the back in her Astoria, Queens apartment. Police said, “upon arrival, officers observed a 34‑year‑old female victim with a stab wound to the back.” Hours later, her husband Joseph Azzaretto was found dead, apparently by hanging, in nearby Astoria Park. The couple’s 11‑month‑old son was found unharmed in the home. Authorities are treating the incident as a possible murder‑suicide and continue the investigation.
