SETAR salary irregularities denounced in Tarija

Departmental assemblyman Rodrigo Delgado has denounced alleged irregularities regarding the salary scale at the Empresa Tarijeña del Gas (SETAR). According to the complaint, low-ranking officials are reportedly receiving monthly salaries ranging from Bs 8,000 to Bs 12,000.

Delgado highlighted a significant discrepancy between the duties performed and the compensation received, citing an example of a telephone operator earning approximately Bs 8,000 per month. The assemblyman has called for transparency regarding the company's salary structure and the criteria used to establish these payments.

Moving forward, Delgado intends to conduct a review of the personnel payroll and salary scales to ensure compliance with current regulations. He also announced continued oversight actions to investigate the economic and administrative management of SETAR to determine if there are irregularities in the use of resources allocated for salaries.
