Palmares Municipal Stadium undergoes ₡40 million renovation

The Jorge ‘Palmareño’ Solís Municipal Stadium in Palmares is undergoing significant improvements following an investment of approximately ₡40 million. This initiative, a joint effort between the Municipality of Palmares and the Cantonal Committee of Sports and Recreation, aims to resolve a sanitary order that has been pending since 2019.

A primary focus of the work has been the complete renovation of the stadium's electrical system to meet all regulatory requirements. Additionally, the synthetic turf on the field is being replaced by the company Stadium Source under warranty to address previous surface deficiencies. The new pitch is expected to be fully installed within approximately one and a half months.

Mayor Andrés Vargas Rodríguez noted that these upgrades will ensure the facility is compliant with health standards and provide a renewed playing surface. Future plans for the venue include the construction of new locker rooms and the creation of a mural to enhance the stadium's aesthetics.
