Setúbal Municipality ranks in top five for national wellbeing awards

The Setúbal Municipality has been ranked among the top five nationally in the Wellbeing Awards 2026. The municipality secured positions in two categories: ‘Most Improved’ and ‘Public Organizations’ (specifically for organizations with over one thousand employees).

Promoted by WorkWell, these awards recognize organizations that implement policies regarding health, well-being, and employee appreciation. The municipality attributed this recognition to its ongoing efforts in occupational health, workplace safety, employee training, and work-life balance.

Setúbal is currently working toward implementing the NP 4590 standard for Organizational Well-being and Happiness Management Systems, with the goal of achieving certification by 2027 to foster healthier and more inclusive work environments.
