Setúbal youth record nature sounds at Herdade da Mourisca

In Setúbal, Portugal, approximately twenty young people aged 13 to 24 participated in the “Consciente(mente)” project at Herdade da Mourisca. The initiative, titled “Trilhos Sonoros,” focused on recording the sounds of birds and the surrounding natural environment to create a digital sound guide for the municipality.

The program included a guided walk to identify local flora and fauna, followed by an intergenerational workshop where seniors taught participants how to create scarecrows from recycled materials. The activities also featured a tour of the Sado Estuary Natural Reserve to observe various bird species and ecosystem elements.
