Setúbal's FestAnima Festival Returns for 22nd Edition

The Junta de Freguesia de São Sebastião is staging the 22nd edition of FestAnima in Setúbal from 10 to 19 July 2024. The event transforms Avenida Belo Horizonte into a summer hub with three separate stages – the main FestAnima stage, plus the Manuel Carlos and Varanda Rio stages – offering concerts from 19:00 to 22:00. Local artists such as Luís Portela, Bombocas, Jorge Guerreiro, Cláudia Nayara and others headline each night, and giant screens will broadcast 2026 World Cup matches for attendees.

Organizers say the festival aims to foster community engagement and generate revenue for local associations. President Bruno Frazão highlighted the event’s two‑decade history and its role in supporting parish activities. The program concludes on 19 July with a fireworks display. The festival is backed by the Setúbal municipal council and continues to grow as the municipality’s premier popular celebration.
