Seth Hoffman returns as showrunner for The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3

Seth Hoffman has returned as showrunner for the third season of ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’ on AMC+. Hoffman, who previously wrote several of the original series’ most traumatic and bleak episodes during seasons four through six, noted that his return is driven by a desire to explore a shift in the franchise’s emotional tone.

Unlike the unrelenting psychological brutality and despair characteristic of his earlier work, Hoffman intends to focus on themes of hope and possibility in the current state of the apocalypse.
