Seth Moniz wins first WSL Championship Tour title at Tahiti Pro
Seth Moniz secured his first World Surf League Championship Tour title at the Tahiti Pro, held at Teahupoo. The Hawaiian surfer achieved a two-wave total of 18.17 out of 20 in the final, defeating California’s Griffin Colapinto. Moniz’s performance included high-scoring tube rides, including a 9.10, which helped him climb 12 spots in the rankings to 19th.
In the women’s competition, Canadian teenager Erin Brooks earned her second career victory and her first as a full-time CT member. Brooks defeated Israel’s Anat Lelior in the final. Brooks’ path to the title included victories over notable surfers such as Carissa Moore and Molly Picklum.
