Seth Niedermayer joins Kirkland & Ellis as real estate partner

Real estate attorney Seth Niedermayer has joined the law firm Kirkland & Ellis as a partner in its Chicago-based real estate group. The move follows more than a decade of service at HSF Kramer, where he was promoted to partner in 2022.

Niedermayer will focus on representing private equity clients, investors, developers, and operators. His primary expertise lies in real estate transactions, specifically joint ventures and financing. During his previous tenure, his notable work included representing Mitsui Fudosan America in a joint venture at 50 Hudson Yards, as well as working on the acquisition of the Venetian on the Las Vegas Strip by Vici Properties and Apollo Global Management.

Niedermayer stated that Kirkland & Ellis provides an “unrivaled platform” to serve clients on sophisticated matters and expressed excitement about collaborating with the firm’s legal team.
