Seth Rogen provides update on Disney's Figment movie project

Seth Rogen has provided the first public update regarding the proposed Figment movie in four years. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actor and producer clarified that his involvement with the project is strictly as a producer through his company, Point Grey, rather than as a voice actor for the character.

While Rogen did not confirm the current status of the film or provide a specific timeline, he noted that he would need to “kick the tires on that one” to provide a definitive answer regarding its progress. The project, which was first announced in 2022 and is inspired by the Journey Into Imagination attraction at EPCOT, has seen no official updates from Disney since its reveal.

Disney has not confirmed whether development is active, nor has there been information regarding a director, cast, or release date. This comes amid recent news regarding the return of the Dreamfinder character to the EPCOT attraction.
