Seth Trimble commits to Louisville Cardinals

Seth Trimble, a former North Carolina guard, has committed to play his fifth season of college basketball with the Louisville Cardinals. Trimble entered the transfer portal this spring following a court ruling by U.S. District Judge Charlotte Sweeney, which granted a preliminary injunction allowing high school Class of 2022 athletes to claim a fifth year of eligibility.

While Trimble expressed that he considers UNC ‘home’, a roster logjam at North Carolina led him to seek opportunities elsewhere. UNC has since finalized its roster under coach Michael Malone, including the addition of former South Dakota center Cameron Fens.

Trimble joins a highly-rated Louisville transfer class led by coach Pat Kelsey, which includes prospects such as Flory Bidunga and Jackson Shelstad.
