Seth Williams chooses Georgia over Clemson for 2027 football class

Four‑star defensive back Seth Williams, a senior at Lakeside High School in Atlanta, announced his commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs on July 31, 2026. Williams, ranked No. 35 at his position nationally and No. 369 overall by Rivals, had briefly committed to Clemson earlier in the year but de‑committed on April 9.

His decision gives Georgia its 20th 2027 recruit and the second in‑state safety after Adryan Cole, moving the Bulldogs’ class to a No. 14 national ranking. Clemson lost its final target for the 2027 class, leaving the Tigers to focus on retaining the rest of their commitments ahead of National Signing Day.
