Seton Hill University names Nick Volchok women's basketball head coach

Seton Hill University has appointed Nick Volchok as the new head coach of its women’s basketball program. Volchok succeeds Maeve Gallagher, who resigned following three seasons that included a 22-9 record and a PSAC semifinal appearance.

Volchok joins the university after serving three seasons as an assistant coach at Marist College and two seasons at Iona University. A native of Yonkers, New York, his background includes playing at Rockland Community College, where he set a program record for three-pointers, and Mercy College, where he scored over 1,000 points. His professional playing career included stints in Germany and Italy.

In a statement, Volchok expressed gratitude to the administration and noted his intention to build upon the program's existing foundation through a commitment to 'Attitude and Effort.'
