Setouchi City to open nursery school playground on Sundays and holidays
Setouchi City in Okayama Prefecture has announced that the playground at Oku Nursery School will be opened to the public on Sundays and holidays starting in September 2026. The initiative is part of the 'Setouchi City Kodomo Hiroba Project,' which aims to create more play areas and improve the childcare environment for families.
The playground will be accessible from 9:00 to 17:00, excluding the New Year holidays. The service is designed for children up to the third grade of elementary school and requires adult supervision. No prior reservations are necessary.
The project is supported by individual and corporate 'Furusato Nozei' (hometown tax) donations, which are used to enhance local spaces for children's growth and community interaction.
