SEV introduces new productivity measurement tool for Greek SMEs
The Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV) held a General Council meeting featuring Deputy Prime Minister Kostis Hadjidakis to discuss economic growth, investment, and industrial competitiveness. A central outcome of the meeting was the introduction of a new productivity measurement guide developed by IOBE in collaboration with SEV.
This practical tool is designed to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in systematically measuring productivity and comparing their performance against industry peers in Greece and the European Union. The guide utilizes existing financial data and digital tools to calculate value added and productivity per employee, helping businesses identify operational weaknesses and optimize resource allocation.
During the discussions, Hadjidakis emphasized that Greece has moved past its crisis period and must now focus on a developmental leap through improved productivity and competitiveness. Key priorities for the upcoming period include fostering a business-friendly environment, accelerating Artificial Intelligence integration, supporting digital transformation, and simplifying licensing processes to encourage industrial investment.
