Sevdam Karadeniz explores family feuds in new Turkish series

The Turkish television series ‘Sevdam Karadeniz’ follows the long-standing feud between the Alazlı and Yeniceli families in the Black Sea region. The plot centers on the descendants of a past romance between Hafize Alazlı and Durali Yeniceli, as the younger generation, Kuzey and Zeyşan, navigate family pressures, secrets, and revenge.

While viewers have questioned if the story is based on real events or an adaptation, there is no official confirmation from the production company or channel that the series is anything other than an original script written by Yeşim Gülay, Özge Korkmaz, and Zeynep Şirin.

Actress Meltem Akçöl portrays the character Zeyşan Yeniceli Alazlı. The character’s storyline involves her return to Trabzon after living in Istanbul for 17 years, an event that reignites the historical animosity between the two families.
