Seven detained after axe attack in Istanbul's Esenler district

Seven suspects have been detained following a violent assault in the Esenler district of Istanbul. The victim, a 17-year-old identified as İ. A., was reportedly attacked by a crowd in an open parking lot in the Kazımkarabekir neighborhood.

According to police investigations, the assault was motivated by a personal dispute involving a girl. The victim was beaten with fists and kicks, and two individuals, aged 16 and 18, allegedly used an axe during the attack. The incident was captured on mobile phone cameras by bystanders.

The Esenler District Police Department identified and detained seven suspects ranging in age from 16 to 20. Following medical examinations, the suspects are being referred to the courthouse for legal proceedings.
