SEVENTEEN members VERNON and THE 8 launch unit V8

SEVENTEEN members VERNON and THE 8 have launched a new musical unit called ‘V8’ with the release of their first mini album, also titled ‘V8’. The project explores various genres, including European electronic and house music, featuring collaborations with high-profile producers such as Pharrell Williams and Mechatok.

The album consists of eight tracks written and composed primarily by the duo, incorporating lyrics in English, Korean, and Chinese. THE 8, originally from China, and VERNON, a Korean-American artist, described the project as a significant learning experience in creative decision-making and teamwork.

In addition to the musical release, THE 8 is featured in the upcoming DICON Volume N°36 photography book, titled ‘THE 8TH SENSE’, which highlights his artistic identity beyond group activities, including his interests in contemporary art and dance.
