Seventh-day Adventists in Switzerland surpass 5,000 members

The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Switzerland has surpassed 5,000 adult baptized members for the first time in its history. As of June 1, 2026, the total membership stood at 5,014 across 59 congregations and six groups.

The membership is divided into two linguistic regions: the German-speaking association (DSV), which includes 2,642 members in 34 congregations and three groups, and the Fédération (FSRT) for French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino, which includes 2,372 members in 25 congregations and three groups. Together, they form the Swiss Union based in Zurich.

The official statistics only count adult baptized members, as the church requires a conscious, personal decision of faith for baptism. Consequently, children and unbaptized youth who participate in community life are not included in the formal count, suggesting the actual number of people identifying with the church is higher.
