Severe burn accidents reported in Brazil and Portugal

Two separate accidents involving severe burns have been reported in Brazil and Portugal.

In Pancas, Brazil, a 47-year-old woman sustained second-degree burns to her face, hands, and airways after attempting to burn trash with gasoline. Due to the severity of her airway injuries, the Air Operations and Transport Nucleus (Notaer) performed an emergency helicopter transfer. The patient was intubated and stabilized locally before being transported to the Dr. Jayme Santos Neves State Hospital in Serra for specialized treatment.

In Ermidas-Sado, Portugal, a 40-year-old Chilean man suffered serious burns following an electrocution accident. Emergency services responded to the scene in the Santiago do Cacém municipality, providing first aid to the victim, who was in critical condition. He was subsequently transported to a hospital in Santiago do Cacém for urgent medical care.
